Nancy O'Dell's first work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as morning news anchor at WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response in response to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to all South Carolina media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time at Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant as well as the Miss Universe Pageant.
