Mena Alexandra suvari born on 13 February 1979 in America, is an actress also a fashion designer, and model. Soon after her first job as a model she soon transitioned into acting after appearing in guest roles on 1990's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. Her first film performance in 1997's drama Nowhere. Her performances in American Beauty, for which she won the BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more interest. Since then she appeared as a co-star in Loser (2000) along with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs as well as later portrayed the lead character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Her appearances were in the 2002 independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. The other films she appeared in include HBO's drama Six Feet Under. She was also cast in the film version of Day of Dead as well as The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh and in the film versions of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has appeared in many blog and fashion publications and blogs, such as Vogue. She is a Lancome model and appears on the advertisements printed for Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari has been a loyal advocate and supporter of the renowned African relief organization The African Medical and Research Foundation. The organization is also active in women's empowerment issues and works with organizations that support breast cancer awareness and an End Violence Against Women Campaign.
